ACRC, led by Professor Mosad Zineldin, played a key role in creating and developing the GMG concept in cooperation with the University of Genoa and other project partner institutions. ACRC gratefully acknowledges the European Commission for supporting this concept and approving the funding necessary to implement the project.GMG25:
Global environmental changes caused by our (human) activities are causing a consider numbers of deaths. The relationship between climate change and health care is a bidirectional one. Climate change (CC) threatens public health, and health care practice is a leading contributor to global heating and environmental degradation, responsible for 10% of greenhouse gas emissions which creating huge health burdens resulting in a loss of about 388,000 disability-adjusted life-years in 2018 in USA.
This GMG inititaive focus on integrating climate adaptation, medical and health care innovation with the sustainability goals to create a triple win: reducing the environmental impact of health care, improving public health outcomes, and fostering economic growth through new jobs and industries.
The overall objectives:

Develop and integrate Green Educating & Training into the regular medical/health sciences curriculum

Encourage new mindsets to motivate the medical & health practitioners, and decision makers to take responsibilities to mitigate the CC caused by health system practice

To assure VET& capacity building digitalization
